I'm a full-time software developer. I'm good at it and I like what I'm doing. I know and use a wide range of designs, methods and technologies, and use an appropriate combination of them to solve business problems.
But I'm not high & mighty. I explain things to people in a down-to-earth way, meeting them at their level of computer understanding. I take the mysteries out of computers, systems and web sites.
As a businessperson, I'm also aware that you have a budget. I want to ensure that you end up with the most economical of solutions. My experience enables me to design a solution which meets your needs without unnecessary costs or complexity.

Here is the approach I will take to your web site or desktop computer solution.
- I'll listen to your concerns and consider your resources in determining how to best meet your needs. There are usually many ways of completing a task, with different balances between automation and daily tasks. I can evaluate your needs and find affordable solutions.
- I'll keep in touch with you during design and creation to ensure that the end result stays on track and ends up being what you need. Many projects are written and delivered according to the agreed specs, but don't meet the needs because the users didn't fully understand just what they were agreeing to. I'll keep in touch with you as I develop, demonstrating bits and pieces as they are developed. That way, you can confirm that what I'm writing aligns to the business need I'm fulfilling.
- I'll deliver web pages and program files designed for easy understanding and maintenance. My programs and web files are formatted, documented and organized for ready understanding. All of this amounts to easy maintenance and modification in the future.
- I'll deliver tested products. I work out the rough spots and ensure that the systems work as expected. Your software should make your life easier -- not the other way around.
- I'll provide documentation on my delivered solution. My finished products come with program comments and enough instructions to understand their design and maintenance. I can train you to use your new system or arrange periodic system maintenance (such as data backup and server restarts).
- I'll keep your secrets secret. Your firm's business processes and confidential data remain yours. I don't compromise my clients' secrets.
